feedback
here is a link to the feedback sheet
what i was asked to change
after i made my PDP i was asked to change a few things to improve it. on the feed back sheet i was told that i needed to give more information from other units. this was because i only included information about unit 40. to fix this i looked on the unit specification
another thing i needed to add to my PDP was dates. although this was not on the feedback sheet i received i noticed that i was missing dates on certain parts of my PDP. to change this i worked out the dates for each peace of work and filled in the missing dates and filled it in.
what was good about my PDP
on the feedback sheet i was told that my work was very consistent and the obstacles where clearly shown and easy to follow. this was good but i still had to make sure to keep my work consistent when writing about other subjects and i had to make sure the obstacles where still clearly shown for the other units.

p6, d1- evaluate interpersonal and written communications techniques
here is a link to my game pitch
things I needed to think about while doing my pitch:
below are some of the things I needed to consider while pitching my game. these are the things that i thought where most important to include in my game pitch.
while I was doing my pitch I noticed a mixture of good and bad things. one of the good things I noticed while I was doing my pitch was that I did not use notes this made me seem more confident in my design and also helped me to keep eye contact with the audience.
one thing I noticed while presenting my pitch is that I looked at my own slide too much. the reason for this is because I did not have any notes and I was using it as a reminder to what I had to talk about. to fix this I will need to focus more on the audience and memorise the order of the slides and make sure I understand what I need to be talking about. if I wanted to improve my presentation I would need to stop looking at the presentation and look at the audience more. this would make me seem more professional while pitching my game and would make me seem more confident when talking.
another good thing I noticed about my pitch is that I was fairly quick at answering questions and when I didn't know the answer to a question I managed to give a clear and professional answer explaining why I couldn't answer the question this means I didn't just explain with I don't know but instead gave a reason to why I don't know. this is good when pitching a game as it shows that I have thought about it and makes me sound more confident. if I had replied with I don't know I would not look very professional.
while we where pitching our games we had to look professional. to do this I wore a smart shirt and tie. this helped me pitch my game as it made me more confident and made me look more professional. I think I managed to dress professionally during my pitch and don't think I could have done anything else to improve the way I dressed
something I didn't do in my game pitch was use the correct terminology consistently. to improve this I could do more research on the topic. if I had used the correct terminology I would have sounded more confident about the topic.
after pitching my game idea people told me that i did not speak loud enough during the end of my pitch. speaking loudly is one of the most important things to do while pitching a game as you need to sound clear so people can easily understand what you are talking about and do not miss any important information. to improve this next time i should focus on speaking loudly and make sure i face the people listening rather than looking at the board. this will make it easier for people to listen and will ensure they do not miss any important information.
summary
over all I achieved a pass for my game pitch. the thing that stopped me from achieving the merit was I did not use terminology consistently. if I did the pitch again I would use more terminology and use it consistently. to make sure I use the terminology consistently I could make a list of all the terminology or I could do more research on the subject. an example of some terminology I did not use consistently was NPC. this is the word that we where meant to use to describe any character the player could not control. instead of using the word NPC I used the word enemy.

P5 - What is Voip software
what is VoIP
The word VoIP stands for voice over internet protocol. this is a type of hardware that is used to talk to people over the internet by using an IP instead of using circuit transmissions. one advantage of using VoIP is the calls over the internet do not cost anything as the user is already paying for the internet. another advantage to using VoIP is it can allow multiple people to talk in the same call at once. this is good for businesses to talk in group calls or it is even good for normal people to talk in groups with friends.
one disadvantage is that they require an internet connection to work. this is a problem because if you have a bad internet connection you can get a lot of problems that you wouldn't get when using normal phones.
one example of a VoIP is Skype this uses the internet to allow people to talk to each other and also gives the user an option to pay money so they can make calls to people. this Voi software is used to allow businesses to talk to each other but is commonly used by people who use computers regally just to talk to their friends.
the advantages to using Skype
it is free. this means it can be easily downloaded and it will be a cheaper alternative then using a phone. you can also pay extra to get things such as video calls with more than one person and the option to call people using phones.
it is simple to use. this is good as it means you don't have to learn how to use. this makes it better for people who do not use there computers that much but use Skype for business calls.
allows webcam usage. you can only use a webcam with one other person on Skype without paying but it is good for talking to family that you haven't spoken to in a long time. it also features a thing called screen share. this allows people to share what is on there screen which is good for getting support with technical problems and allows people to show people what is on there screen.
its popular. because Skype is so popular it means people will get lots of technical support if needed and there will be a big community.
disadvantages of using Skype
one disadvantage is there is some times background noise. although this can sometimes just be a problem with the users mic a lot of the time it is actually a problem with Skype as it may not support the mic you are using.
you are limited a lot by using the free version. although Skype is free you can also pay monthly. this allows you to do things such as

another example of a VoIP is Razer Comms this is aimed at gamers and allows them to talk to there friends without leaving there games.
the advantages to razer comms
one advantage to using razer comms is you can go on it in game. this is good for the audience it is targeted towards as its target audience is gamers. this is good because it means the user does not have to close there game to talk to other people.
another advantage to using razer comms is it does not give away any personal information such as your ip address or your phone number. this is good because it stops people from getting information that could damage your computer. it is also good as it stops strangers from getting your personal phone number and contacting you using it.
disadvantages to using razer comms
there are not many disadvantages to using razer comms. the only disadvantage I can think of is it is in beta. this means there will be a lot of problems with it but these problems will likely be solved in future updates. an example of a problem this causes is un expected crashes. this is a problem as you will have to keep restarting it but this problem will be solved when it is no longer in beta.
